Privacy Policy
We routinely collect information from our clients using our online services. We are committed to respecting the privacy of our clients and recognise the need for appropriate protection and management of data. We will take appropriate steps to protect the information that is shared with us from unauthorised access or disclosure.
- In the course of our consultancy assignments we collect the names and email addresses of people who work for our clients (our users).
- We do not collect any other personal identity data from our users.
- The lawful basis for our processing of personal data is "Consent - individuals have given clear consent for us to process their data for specific purposes." We only collect and report on data that is freely given by voluntarily participating individuals in our assignments.
- Users participate by voluntarily clicking into our surveys from an email invitation message.
- We collect most of our data online using online survey methods. Occasionally we use paper and pencil methods of data collection.
- We collect this data in order to help our clients to better understand the attitudes, and competencies of the people that work for them.
- When we report aggregated data about individuals to corporate managers we secure anonymity of individuals by setting a minimum reporting sample size that is appropriate to the project assignment but which will always protect the anonymity of users.
- We do not, under any circumstances, release information about a user to corporate managers of our clients without the express permission from the user concerned.
- We do not share, sell or pass on any user responses to third parties.
- Personal identifiers of our users (name and email address) are deleted from our online and offline servers, and from our devices, as soon as a project is complete thus minimising the risks associated with data breaches. We absorb de-personalised survey data into our normative benchmarking tables, which we keep indefinitely.
- We do not anticipate that the intended use of data is likely to cause you to object or complain. Your rights under the GDPR regulations include; the right to be informed, the right of access, the right of rectification, the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object. If you wish to exercise any of these rights please email the Smithfield Data Protection Officer at dpo@smithfieldperformance.com. We will respond to your subject access request as soon as possible, and at the latest within one month.
- It is an unfortunate reality that nobody is totally safe from determined hackers. We do our best to protect your data but we cannot guarantee 100% security. We have in place a process to assess the likely risk to individuals as a result of a breach and we have a process for informing affected individuals about a breach when it is likely to result in a material risk to their rights and freedoms. If we experience an unauthorised security breach that is likely to result in a material risk to you, we will notify you as soon as possible and explain the actions we took to deal with the breach.
- We are registered with the UK Information Commission (ICO).
